Hello Everyone,

     My name is Azar, and I've enrolled LT 130 to update my information in library science. This is an exciting moment for me because I've opened a new window to the technology world and library science. I had always been fascinated by books, library and librarians from my childhood, so I decided to become a librarian. I chose library and information science as my major, and I worked in library for more than 20 years. Now, I am here and taking a step further. I don't have any experience on blogging, but I am looking forward to collaborating on this blog with my group. I have created "image and video" page  on our blog.

Introductions

Hello everyone!

My name is Melissa, and this is my first semester in the Palomar LIT program. I recently graduated from CSUEB with a BA in Liberal Studies and an emphasis in Social Science. I hope to gain my certificate in library technology before applying to MLIS programs. I currently work as a page for the San Jose Public Library system. My career goal is to one day become a public librarian.

So far, I have supplemented to our blog by creating the "Types of Tech" page and rearranging the layout in the contributors area within the "About" section. I'm looking forward to providing more content and collaborating with my group members throughout the semester. 

Learning to Blog

This course gives us a small preview of what it is like to blog--I found this course assignment interesting! And blogging is more fun than I initially thought it would be--but I can tell that there is still a lot to learn about what makes a blog relevant and interesting to visit. :)

I thought it would be nice to include a link to a page from another blog about technology--a kind of testament to our course and blog subject. This blog is also included in the 2017 EdTech's 50 Must-Read Higher Ed Blogs.

I helped contribute to the set up of this blog, by adding the "About" page/tab and a "desktop technology tools" background image to the starting template.

Elaine's Initial Post

I was really hoping we were going to get to do some real blogging with this assignment, but I've read it over several times and it seems like this initial post is about what it culminates with (unless there's more later in this class...)

Grumpy Cat: I came. I saw. I complained.

Okay, so I'm disappointed a little. I like blogging! I like teaching technology! I like Grumpy Cat!

Here's a little about what I changed, in two pictures:

2. Search Preferences

I'm pretty sure my classmates agreed that my title was total improvement over the long-winded predecessor. And, I'm about 85% sure they agreed my cliche, cheesy tag-line was acceptable. I thought it was an improvement over having nothing.

Regarding search preferences: although this isn't something everyone can see, it's an important part of setup to make sure that search engines are able to index information about this blog so it will show in results when people perform internet searches.

Hi everyone!

I guess its time we introduce ourselves and what we have done.

I'm Erika, I am 26, married with two cats, and I am an avid reader and cat lover. I am currently in college to become a Multi-Media technician. My favorite genera to read is YA Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance.My Contributions to this blog were that I created the original blog and layout. I had selected the original font, color theme, and background and was responsible for contacting and adding all of my group mates and our instructor, as well as making everyone admins. I changed the "About Me" section to a "Contributors" section so everyone would be listed. I also changed the comment box to "pop up" so it wouldn't be so bulky just sitting on the page without any comments. I have never blogged before, the most I have done is posted on Facebook and I rarely even do that, but I look forward to the opportunity to learn how.
